Classes on reverse mortgages and home ownership are among those available during March from Consumer Credit Counseling Service in Medford.
The cost is $10 each.
- Budgeting Made Easy, offered from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, provides a look at creating a personal budget, setting financial goals, reducing spending and organizing money.
- Understanding Your Credit Report, offered from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, helps people understand how to read reports, get credit scores and learn how to improve them and correct errors.
- Reverse Mortgage Rundown, offered 10 to11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, helps people 62 years of age or older size up their ability to tap into the equity of their homes. It is important to understand the product and the process before you commit yourself.
- Steps to Home Ownership, 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesday March 16, breaks down the process of purchasing a home into 10 easy steps. Reviewing your finances, your credit, credit score, shopping for a loan and working with a real estate agent are among the topics covered.
Classes are held at 820 Crater Lake Ave., Suite 202, Medford. Students need to pre-register for these courses by calling 541-779-2273.
