Enjoy the horror of a bad film

The Bad Film Society presents “Island of Lost Souls,” a 1932 horror film about a scientist who conducts genetic experiments that turn plants and animals into terrifying mutants.

The film is based on a novel by H.G. Wells. A 1977 DEVO music video, trailers from bad remakes, a pre-code montage, and a 1933 Baby Burlesk short, titled “Polly Tix in Washington,” will show before the feature.

Visitors should bring food for a potluck dinner and use the lodge’s back entrance on Will Dodge Way. It’s at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Ashland Elks Lodge, 255 E. Main St. Admission is $4. See www.badfilmsociety.org for details.
