Electronic equipment and money stolen at football camp

Several participants at a football camp at McCloud Elementary School in McCloud, Calif., had several pieces of electronic media equipment and money stolen at 5:30 p.m. July 15, according to a news release.

Camp participants and volunteer officials had just returned from the camp to a spot with tents and parked vehicles where they had left their property, the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office reported. Personal items, including cellular phones, iPod music players, headphones and cash were reported missing by several players and coaches.

There is an ongoing investigation to identify suspects in the thefts.
