Documentaries shown at library

A documentary on Venezuela's revolution will be screened for free from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

The screening of "Venezuela's Bolivarian Revolution," is open to the public.

The film examines what happens when management and operations of businesses are taken over by the workers, as well as the effects of certain economic systems worldwide.

Part two of the documentary will be screened from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20. The segment will tackle women's rights, the media and social policies.

The Peace House, Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and Jackson County Pacific Green Party are sponsoring the showings.
