Croman tour Tuesday

Ashland's Planning Commission on Tuesday will tour a 60-acre parcel east of Tolman Creek Road that is set to be developed.

The 5 p.m. tour of the old Croman Mill property, Ashland's largest undeveloped piece of land, is in place of the commission's regular meeting at the city Civic Center. The tour, which will begin at the intersection of Tolman Creek and Mistletoe roads, is open to the public.

Beginning May 26, commissioners will work on the Croman Mill plans at their second meeting every month for six to nine months, said Maria Harris, the city's planning manager.

Commissioners will be creating land use rules for the property on the basis of recommendations from the City Council. City Council members have decided that the plans should allow for the creation of business offices, a new street system and a park.
