Court approves Harry & David plan to drop leases, pay employees

Harry & David Holdings' bid to reject some of its mall leases where it had closed stores won court approval today.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Delaware Judge Mary Walrath signed off on a motion allowing rejection of some leases that weren't contested.

The judge also signed off on Harry & David's request to spend $11.4 million to pay employees, benefits and other business costs.
