Convenience store robbery suspect arrested

Medford police arrested a suspect believed to have been involved in at least three counts of second-degree robbery between June 17 and 23, according to a news release.

Scott Michael Jones, 28, of Ashland, is held in the Jackson County Jail with bail set at $1 million after police arrested him Friday. He is charged with three counts of second-degree robbery. He will be arraigned today.

Jones is charged with armed robbery of the Circle K convenience store at Riverside Ave. and Barnett Road, an Ashland Minute Market and another Medford convenience store. In the Circle K robbery - the most recent - he allegedly entered the store around 11:30 p.m. displaying the handgun in his waistband and demanding money.

He then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
