Check out e-readers at Josephine County libraries

Josephine County Libraries received five new Sony electronic e-book readers this week, which it will allow library patrons to check out, a news release said.

Patrons must have a Josephine County library card to check them out.

A grant from the Grants Pass Friends of the Library and a donation from WalMart paid for the devices.

Users can download free books, videos and other digital material from the library website, library officials said.

The e-readers come pre-loaded with 24 titles, including classics by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain and Jane Austen. Over 32,000 additional materials can be downloaded at the library website, www.josephinelibrary.org.
