Central Point offers amnesty for suspended drivers licenses

The City of Central Point has been approved by City Council to offer amnesty to drivers who have had their drivers license suspended, starting Jan. 3, 2012, and continuing until April 30.

If a driver's license has been suspended, and the driver is able to pay all amounts owing in full, fines will be reduced by 25 percent.

If your license has been suspended, and the account has been sent to a collection agency, a 25 percent reduction of fines and a 50 percent reduction of any interest owed will also be offered.

This offer is contingent on payment in full. Payment plans do not qualify for either reduction.
