Capitals snap losing skid

OTTAWA — Mathieu Perreault scored twice, Eric Fehr had a goal and an assist and the Washington Capitals ended their losing streak at eight games, beating the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Sunday night.

Washington scored three times in a 6:21 span early in the second to erase a 2-0 deficit. The Capitals, who also had two goals disallowed, had been held to 11 goals during their 0-6-2 skid.

At Detroit, Loui Eriksson scored at 4:18 of overtime to give Dallas a comeback victory over Detroit in a game between the top two teams in the Western Conference.

Blackhawks 3, Kings 2

At Chicago, Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Fernando Pisani scored, rookie Corey Crawford made 26 saves and disciplined Chicago won.

Avalanche 3, Canadiens 2

At Denver, T.J. Galiardi broke a second-period tie, Craig Anderson stopped 27 shots and Colorado won its sixth straight game.
