Blow won't go: A windy day in store for Southern Oregon

Hang onto your hat and anything else that isn't tied down: Gusty wind that hit Southern Oregon overnight will stick around today as well.

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a wind advisory for Jackson County that lasts until 3 p.m.

Forecasters expect winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts of as much as 45 mph.

A 45 mph gust was the largest recorded overnight by the weather service at the Medford airport.

Wind today may make driving difficult, especially for tall vehicles, the weather service says.

The forecast for the day also calls for rain and a high of 52 degrees.
