Ashland Children's Halloween Celebration set for Monday

The Ashland Children's Halloween Celebration will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Here are the details of the event:

—3 p.m.

The parade begins at the public library and goes to the plaza. Children and families will lead the Children's Halloween Parade. Adults without children will follow behind. Families and children in the parade should line up on Third Street between East Main Street and Lithia Way before the beginning of the parade. Adults without children and other participants should line up on Siskiyou Boulevard in front of the Ashland Public Library.

—3:30 to 4:30pm

The following will be available:

  • Trick or treating and face painting in the downtown on East Main Street from the library to the plaza
  • Entertainment from the Ashland Middle School Band, Ashland High School Band, the Ashland High School Orchestra, The Jazzmen, the Thriller Group and Samba Like It Hot. These groups will be located at various locations downtown from the library to the plaza.
  • Photographs and story time with costumed book characters co-sponsored by Tree House Books, including Curious George and Clifford the Big Red Dog.
  • Costume contest co-sponsored by Renaissance Rose on the Plaza following the Parade. There will be prizes.
