Arc in Jackson County presents 'Live to Dance' for people with disabilities

The Arc will present the second annual Live to Dance with The Arc Stars beginning at 6:30 p.m. today at Kids Unlimited, 821 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. Tickets are available through The Arc's website at and at The Arc's Thrift Store at 121 N. Central Ave., Medford.

The event will include dinner, entertainment and the dancing competition, judging and awards. Tickets are $50 for the complete dinner, show and competition and $15 for just the competition dancing, which begins at 8 p.m.

The Arc in Jackson County serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

The evening's entertainment will be hosted by Don Hurley of Kool 103 radio and Cameron Loughlin of KOBI-TV. Entertainment during the dinner will include the Precision Cheer Team, a group of special needs young people; Ka Pio O KeAnuenue, a group of hula dancers; and flamenco dancers Elena Villa and Monica Morales Carnicero with guitarist Grant Ruiz. It will close with a performance by Clint Ingbretson, who was recently voted as one of the top Elvis Tribute Artists in the country and a huge supporter of people with Down syndrome.
